{"DS | Body text"/}The last of Joel Shaver's five three-pointers extended Downsville's lead to nine points midway through the fourth period as the host Eagles won in the Delaware League.

Shaver finished with his varsity high of 24 points _ nine coming in the fourth quarter when the Eagles outscored Andes, 21-13.

"We were fired up for this game," said Downsville coach Danny Haynes, whose team lost, 62-50, at Andes earlier this season. "We haven't had a lot of things to be very happy about this season.

"When we played them there, we thought we gave them one," he continued. "We really wanted to show we could play with them."

Sean Abrams contributed 10 points for the Eagles (4-10), who travel to Gilboa on Friday.

Eric Reed and Josh Bonifacic had 12 and 10 points, respectively, for Andes.
